Jurie attended the University of Johannesburg where he obtained his undergraduate degree as well as honours and master’s in taxation. He has been a tax lecturer at the University of Johannesburg for the past 14 years, and plays a key role in administering the SAICA board exams. 

Jurie has extensive experience when it comes to educational technology within teaching and learning, and has a passion for business and education. He has been involved in a number of private business dealings since obtaining his qualifications. He was awarded the ABSA Young Entrepreneur award due to a business he started at the age of 22.

Juries’ passion for education and business has assisted the Invigilator application to grow from strength to strength. It is Jurie’s vision that the Invigilator makes all the positives of online exam proctoring possible, without the limitations associated with laptop based proctoring.
