Nature of the event
There is no virtual option to participate in the event. After two years of restricted contact between Higher Education professionals and between Buyers and Suppliers, a key focus of the Conference is providing attendees with a strong physical engagement environment.
My Booking
You may make changes before the booking system closes on 18 August. Thereafter no further bookings or changes will be possible.

As per the terms and conditions accepted on registration there is a 100% cancellation fee from 30 days before the event. You may transfer your booking to someone else.
Arrival and Conference Registration
Proceed directly to the Registration Desks on the 2nd floor of Sandton Convention Centre.
- Arriving by car: go straight up the lifts or escalators from the SCC parking garage.
- Arriving by shuttle / on foot: go up the escalators on the South side of the Convention Centre (from the street enter the doors and turn left toward the escalators).
- Tuesday: Registration will be open from 13h00
- Wednesday. Thursday, Friday: Registration will be open from 07h30
- A bag drop facility will be available for your luggage.
Hotels
Unless we have advised you differently you will be booked into the hotel you selected when you registered. You will have received an email confirmation when you registered. A lookup facility is available at goconnect2022.co.za/check to check your booking details before the event.
- Monday arrivals: Check in directly at your hotel. Hotel check-in times are from 14h00.
- Tuesday and Wednesday arrivals
- Check-in after the conference ends at our dedicated Check-in Desk on the 2nd floor Mezzanine Level
From the south side of the 2nd floor take the escalators up one level to the Mezzanine Level

- Thursday arrivals: check in at your hotel after 14h00
There will be a luggage bag drop facility at Conference Registration
Please checkout before attending the conference. We will provide a bag drop facility for any luggage.
Airport Transfers and transport

Because of the convenience of the Gautrain no airport transfers will be provided. Take the Gautrain from OR Tambo International Airport to the Sandton Gautrain station, which is a short walk away from the Hotels and Convention Centre. You can purchase a Gautrain Card or pay for your trip with any contact-less credit card.
There will be a shuttle between the Sandton Gautrain Station and the Convention Centre at the following times:
- Tuesday 23 August: from 07h30 to 18h00
- Wednesday 24 August: from 07h30 to 10h00
- Thursday 25 August: no shuttle
- Friday 26 August: from 14h30 - 17h00
The two official hotels are within immediate walking distance of the Sandton Conference Centre. The Garden Court is alongside the SCC and the Sandton Sun is over the road.
- Tuesday: Buses leave Conference Centre at 17h00. Guests will return to the Convention Centre and hotels (Garden Court and Sandton Sun) at the end of the evening.
- Wednesday: Dinner is at the Hard Rock Cafe, on Nelson Mandela Square over the road from the Conference Centre and hotels. Make your own way there.
- Thursday: The Gala Dinner is in the Ballroom on the 2nd Floor of the Conference Centre. Make your own way there.
Wifi
We have invested over R100 000 in WiFi for the event. It will be available for the delegates throughout the exhibition/conference. Hotel rooms also have wifi.

Delegates should not experience any delays or problems connecting to the WiFi, please ask a manager on the floor to assist if necessary.
Dress code and dinner theme
Dress is business casual, although some delegates may choose to dress more formally.
The member-only Annual Dinner on 23 August is casual.
Dinner on 24 August: Hard Rock Cafe
Dinner on 25 August: Elegant Black and White
Parking
Park in the Conference Centre lower level parking. Access is at 4 Alice Lane, Sandton. When you enter the parking area turn right and go down the ramp.
Request your free daily parking vouchers at the Organiser Office. Parking vouchers are available for the conference and the conference dinners.
Name badges
Do not lose or forget you badge as they are not replaceable. This rule was established because past attendees abused the access system.
You may share your badge but only one person will be allowed into the venue at any time.
Food
The Sandton Convention Centre is a certified Strict Halaal venue. The event event will provide strict Halaal, Vegetarian, Kosher and Hindu meals for lunches and dinners if requested when you register. For other dinner venues special arrangements will be made. You will receive wristbands at registration for each dinner indicating your dietary request.
Payment
Bookings will be cancelled if payment is not received, but cancellation fees will still apply. Delegates and exhibitors will not be allowed into the venue if there are outstanding payments.
Other
Unfortunately not. Access control is strictly managed and all delegates and exhibitors must be registered and have a name badge to get access to the conference and exhibition.
